Case study / Drupal 10
Moravian Library.
A library website on Drupal.
The Moravian Library (Moravská zemská knihovna, MZK) runs its website on Drupal 10, a content management system (CMS). Abbreva carried out a complete redesign and migrated the site from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10. It also set up login through Brno iD, EduID, and mojeID (Czech digital identity services). Patrons log in with an identity they already have, and the catalog suggests search terms as they type.

What we worked on.
The Moravian Library has several locations. Its patrons should register and log in with identities they already have. The library’s content moved to the new website, and the catalog now offers search suggestions.
The Moravian Library website ran on Drupal 7 and needed a complete redesign and a migration to Drupal 10. The new website also connects to the library’s internal systems.
Three changes.
Registration and login through Brno iD, EduID, and mojeID
Patrons register and log in with an identity they already have. This is called single sign-on (SSO): one key card for the whole building instead of a separate key for every door.
Redesign and content migration
The website got a complete redesign, and the library’s content moved from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10. Moving content is called migration, like moving books to a new building.
Catalog search
Catalog search makes suggestions while you type. It offers the words patrons are looking for before they finish typing.

Two examples from the website.
What the library website does today.
Patrons register and log in on the Moravian Library website through Brno iD, EduID, and mojeID. After the migration, the content runs on Drupal 10, and the catalog suggests search terms as you type. Opening hours have a card for each location. The website is connected to the library’s internal systems, which manage employees and opening hours and update the organizational structure. It also offers advanced management of events and individual spaces.
„Working with Abbreva meets the expectations of the tender, and it is flexible, accommodating, and professional.“
